PlayStation Home Party

Postby The_Apprentice » Sun Nov 08, 2009 4:05 am

Playstation Home is an integral part of PS3 and its quite underused amongst the local community, I can also see why. It is boring at times and just a gimmick you check out once in a while. (Though things have durastically changed since the 1.3 update.)

You know what can change this though? Trinis bussing a lime in Home.
So I propose a nice get together in home.
You all are invited to my Penthouse Suite  and we could get to know each other alot better.

Start by adding "The_Apprentice" and we'll organise a nice lime in Home.
I'd like to have one as early as tonight but we'll see how it goes.

At the end of the day, the goal is to have a nice tight knit local community for gaming on PS3.

Most members would have gotten 3 emails about the Playstation Home Lime.

An error in the system caused this to happen and we’re really sorry about it!

Well The_Apprentice, you know you does see me quite often on Home. It isn't really the stuff inside that attracts me, and I do get bored half of the time (I even fell asleep on the couch for over 3hrs while in my Home space by accident!), but I just like to roam around the place checking out the scene, the new videos and spaces, the people. Sometimes I just take pictures all over the space.

The only thing I hate is when other people harass me thinking that I look as pretty in real as my female avatar. I'm not a girl. I'm an artist and generally I prefer to play as a female character in games as they look pretty (e.g. Jill over Chris in ResEvil etc.). I don't treat the characters as avatars but rather as game characters. I'm just skilled at creating an attractive person I guess.

So, any time should be fine by me. I'd need to know some hours before though so my bro won't hog the system with Killzone 2  .

It was really good, people came and went which wasn't a bother. I hope that most of them understand the meaning of the lime. It did attract quite a few trinis, and that was great. While there may not be much entertaining things to do, as long as you are meeting friends, someone is gonna think of something or something is gonna happen and....all I can say is you better have your camera ready.

I hope to see more trinis using the Home medium as just an aesthetic way to meet up and launch games (unlike me). It would feel that much better and maybe memorable if the camera is on ;) .

Great lime. I expect more to come, especially if it is to welcome a new Home space or something. I usually meet up with my friend to lime, which means we just go around the new spaces, as well as go around trying to get free stuff from the mini-games.

So, everybody please look at Home as a 'cool' way to meet up and don't expect entertainment, it'll come if you just enjoy the meeting in a beautifully crafted world.

While Sunday is usually a day of work for me, I set aside time to attend this and it's a good thing I did.

Finally met some of you guys. Esp Seriyuki who is always posting. It would be nice to see the rest of you guys active on the forums as well.

The lime was fun, but sry I had to leave early. Work duty calls...Christmas holidays can't come soon enough.

I think it'd be a cool idea to have another PSHome Party during the Thanksgiving Turkey game in Central Plaza. The game replaces the Saucer Pop game for a limited time, and free turkey costume parts!!! I think it will be fun with us trying to catch turkeys. I'll have my camera ready if the party can happen.

From all that I've been following up on Home, I don't think that the user would have the ability to stream audio/video through a virtual item from the user's HDD. I believe that the streaming would only be the Ads etc. that Sony showcases throughout Home.

I've read alot on that, but I do hope that they do allow for HDD streaming. They won't need moderation because it can be just like LBP: "If users don't like it, vote it down". In other words, it is up to the Home-user to choose who are their friends, and who they lime with. A personal space is private so I don't see why a virtual item can't allow for HDD streaming.

I would totally be on Home more if that was implemented. I would love to show off videos on my virtual Sony Bravia while booming out a hard track on my virtual sound system...all in front of my friends at my personal space.
